Moxie is dark and dingy, it smells funny inside with bad ventilation and the music was tacky and too loud. The food was alright. For all this place is hyped up to be, it isn't very good. I went with 4 other friends that share the same sentiments. For a much nicer experience check out Biba, Aoili Bodega, or The Waterboy. Remeber, this is the opinion of 5 people and we are comparing Moxie with the likes of the above mentioned restaurants and excellent dining opportunities in Berkeley, Oakland and San Francisco. I do have high food standards. My point is not to bash Moxie, but for me the truth is it's not good. That's that, take my word or don't, it's just my opinion! Happy eating!
Pros: charismatic waiters that remember huge daily specials lists
Cons: smells, arogant stuck-up cocky waiters, so so food, awful ambiance
