I had the chance to attend this program for a term of 95 days. The staff for the most part are indifferent to the needs of their clients. The program is residential in nature, however the Talbert House employees are only employed 9-5,while the remaining 16 hours the ""program"" is staffed by untrained correctional officers. None of whom have any interest at all in the well being of the ""clients"". Our county sheriff has no training in place for these officers related to rehabilitation. He is strictly in the business of corrections. This ""program"" has a 5% success rate and is a complete misdirection of funding. Why do our tax dollars contribute to such a failure ? That is a good question that deserves a good answer!!!
