Five of us travelled to the Peppinos in Lake Forest from Villa Park. We had been to this location several times. Two of the party we children 12 years of age (they will be 13 in 9 months. They ordered off the children's menu. We ordered calimari for an appetizer. It was rubbery, small portion & what wasn't rings were tiny pieces of breading. We told our server & his response was ""that can't be good"". We let it pass & when the bill came we saw that we were charged for drinks for the children. When it was brought to his attention his answer was (after going back to kitchen) that they would let it pass this time but not to do it in the future. The future is 9 months in the future. He was definitely annoyed when we pointed out that he had taken the children's order with no problem or comment. He was at the point of being surly & definitely annoyed. We were disappointed with the food & certainly with the service. When we mentioned the calimari he certainly should have spoken to the menu instead of a smart answer. He couldn't have been less interested whether we were pleased or not. Cons: poor service and the quality of the food has has deteriorated more
