We returned to ViaNove after several year's absence. After this visit we will return more frequently. It was an enjoyable time. The decor has a bit of a modern style--it's on a few mezzanine style floors, so it's a nice change from the boring Detroit-area lack of style (pretend you're in a real city!). A little smoky in some places, but not bad. The bar area is tight, but has a beautiful wall of bottles. And the bartender is well versed in drinks--Zen-tinis made with freshly brewed green tea. He wasn't at all fazed by our request for a Cynar ""Negroni""--(try it...so good) and he made a perfectly balanced one.
Pros: Nice looking, well executed food at realistic prices, good service
Cons: music can be too loud at times
