Like some other reviewers, this will be my first review! I use this site a lot to find NYC gems, but never felt like I wanted to write a review. It's funny, because I actually joked at my lesson that I may write a review and HERE I AM! Anyhow, I booked a makeup lesson and it made my month. I was feeling really icky and was in need of a major makeup boost. I brought my makeup case (it was really quite pathetic) to show Shara. She never judged, laughed, or made me feel silly..and believe me, I was really something to poke fun of. But, Shara was highly patient, never talked down to me, a master teacher, a wonderful artist, and an all around good person. Very nice to meet someone in this city so down to earth in this profession. I took some advice and went to Sephora to ""build my makeup case"" and got some really beautiful things. Thankfully Shara offers this makeup shopping, because I really had no clue what to get. At least now, I know I spent money on things that I will actually use. I don't feel like a makeup wiz after one hour, but I certainly have the right tools, the right colors, and some good knowledge how to go about my makeup. Shara also knows about skin and I was very glad to get some advice, because this NYC polution is killing me. I will most definitely go back again after I practice what she taught me. I want to learn more and more.
