Avoid Late At Night 3/29/2008

We went to the movies late Saturday night. My daughter and her boyfriend, both 16, wanted to see Shutter. Having a 8 and 13 year old with me I decided it would be better to take them to another movie, Superheroes the Movie. Since the movies were only 15 minutes apart I figured my Daughter, who is 8 months pregnant, and her boyfriend could wait for the rest of us to get out of our movie. The movies were good, despite the noise coming from other people in the theatre. On leaving my movie I recieved a text message from the two 16 year olds that they had been kicked out of the theatre although they told the officer that they were waiting on me. They were waiting outside in the cold air for 20 minutes with no visible security measures taken to ensure their safety. There were two police officers who were both inside NOT attending to anything outside. Outside there was illegal substance use, erradic drivers, and violence between a few people (that I saw, smelled). I think this was VERY poor judgement and bordering on dangerous for my children. I will consider going elsewhere in the future when wanting to see flick. more
