Because this restaurants address is in a questionable part of town, I was convinced they had mocked up photos on their web site. However, I was extremely suprised to find this fancy hotel in the midst of not so fancy housing (colorado and mississippi). Tuscany was very tasteful in its atmosphere. Quaint without being country and fine dinning enough to feel spoiled but not sutffy. \r
The food was very original. Each course was presented well. The soup was absolutely delicious. As was the beef fillet. It melted in my mouth. The desert was so so. I had the tropical custard, which was alittle to close to a jello cup dressed up for fine dinning. The Kalua cake had a good flavor but was very crusty and seemed over cooked. However, they made up for it by going the extra mile and made us an authentic Mojito.Even though it wasn't on the menu. \r
If you are looking for just the normal American hotel fair then don't bother paying for it here go across the street. But if you are looking for a Top Chef or Food Network experience this is a good place to start.
Pros: Atmosphere and unique food choices
Cons: small portions and so so desserts
