As a knitting maniac I've visited yarn stores, large and small, around the world. A Good Yarn is deceivingly stocked for a neighborhood store because it's helpful owner Beverly, manages to jam an amazing array of the latest and greatest yarns into her place of business. You can also find an excellent collection of knitting books, individual patterns, latest publications and the usual tools. A Good Yarn also holds some amazing classes where you can acquire skills you never knew you could accomplish. The staff is extra helpful but it is best to shop with either a pattern in hand or a solid idea of what you want to make. Rely on the knowledgable staff if you need yarn recommendations or have to make conversions. They are real pro's. The store has a beautiful array of specialty hand dyed yarns and knit-along yarns for creative types (like me). Knitter's will find it difficult to walk out without something...and, if you purchase your yarn at the store, staff is more than happy to help you with your project and there are always other customers around to offer opinions and help. With such extraordinary yarns on the market today, even the least accomplished knitter can produce a thing of beauty after shopping at A Good Yarn.
