Most diversity ever seen in an art, and it is all based on traditional Shaolin Kung Fu. We learn internal and external, with an emphasis on blending them rather than keeping them separate. The instructor has been studying the art for 10 years, and can trace the liniage all the way back to the Grandmaster at the temple southern China in the 1800's, long before the Communists destroyed all semblance of real martial arts.\r

The students this attracts are great, too. They come from all walks of life and ages range from 16 to mid-60's. (The school does not have children's classes, which is great for adults.) You don't have to be in good shape to start, and don't need to know a thing about martial arts. I would not recommend this if you are looking for tournament fighting as the instructor discourages it and the art is designed for self defense, which means most of our moves are illegal in tournaments anyway. \r

If you are looking for a fun way to get in shape, learn self defense or meditation, or even brush up on Chinese culture, I can't think of a better place to go.
Pros: Small classes. Only black belts teach lower levels. Lots of diversity within the art
