A romantic dinner for two at a unique restaurant sounds so appealing... My wife and I went here with high hopes. This is how it unfolded; As we entered we almost imediately felt out of place. There was no one to greet us immediately and once we were greeted, it was as though we were putting someone out. Had I stepped in something? Was I under dressed? Hmmm... After an ackward unfriendly welcome, we were warned that the eating experience, if we chose all of the courses, could take hours. I was waiting for the follow up comment to quickly exit while we still had time to make it to another restaurant, but it regretably never came. Were they trying to get rid of us? Is business so good that they simply do not need to contend with customer service? I'm not sure... The wait begins... There is nothing to occupy your time. You simply stand there waiting and waiting and waiting... No one engages you. No one offers any explainations - Nothing. Once we were seated and several minutes elapsed we were approached and educated on the system. Our drinks came several minutes later and I began to realize why it could take hours to eat here. Once our food arrived and we became comfortable with the process, it was quite fun experimenting with the variations. The food quality was good. Not great, but good. Good enough, in fact, to try again. The food is not worth the prices they charge, but with the ""have-fun-with-your-food"" experience, it balances a little more. If you are asking yourself why I can give a below average rating, yet state that I had fun with the food that was good, my answer is simple. I struggled the whole time with the poor reception and long wait time. Even after leaving, I could not get past how uncomfortable I was made to feel.
