We've dined at the Milton Inn on three occasions. Each time we have had a fantastic meal, from start to finish. The restaurant is in an old farm house, so the dining rooms are separate and intimate and hold only a few tables. Each room has it's own unique character. The back dining room by the fireplace is an excellent choice for a cold winter evening. The front dining room (the blue room) can tend to be a little drafty, so ask not to be seated in this room. The wine list is fabulous, and the prices seem to be fairly marked however, they do not have every bottle on the list so don't get your heart set on only one particular bottle. Additionally, they offer a nice bottled beer selection but do not have any draught beer. It would be a nice touch for those beer snobs (ie a nice belgium on tap, etc) They make simple cocktails, but nothing extravagant. The specials also sell out quickly, so order them fast and first. The cream of crab soup is one of the best around, the touch of sherry makes it nearly perfect. The mussels are also a great starter dish, as is the foie gras. The duck, steak, pasta and phyllo dinners are all delcious. All around, this is a great winter dining spot or for that special occasion.
