After having lived in the heart of the Italian section of Brooklyn for several years, I'm a full-fledged pizza snob. I was very sketpical about finding any pizza worth its dough in Westchester County until I tried La Manda's. The smell of garlic wafting outside - I literally smelled it one day in my car while stuck in traffic - prompted me to research the casual-looking spot before giving it a try. The reviews sounded promising, the reality was even better. The pizza is very good - perfect thin crust that tastes almost like it has parmesan cheese in it, excellent sausage topping. We will definitely be back - and I cannot wait to try the entrees the menu. Very nice family atmosphere. Not fancy, just great food. Just what I love.
