Overall I was disappointed in my experience. The service was friendly and attentive, but the food was below average. Salads were tasty but overly seasoned. I ordered the filet mignon medium and it was literally burnt on the outside and rare-raw on the inside. I had to scrape char from the sides of the meat. The sauces were heavy and again, too salty. Nothing original or inventive in the menu. I had the sorbet for dessert and they were light and refreshing, and probably the best part of the meal. The ambience feels like this was probably a nice restaurant when it opened, but hasn't done much to keep itself up-to-date. For the money, you can do much better than Beacon.
Pros: Friendly service
Cons: Poorly prepared food
