Contrary to the surprising post I just read Stone Wolf has gained extraordinary popularity in one moth's time. (other post must be a competitor; very sneaky). Notwithstanding, I've visited Stone Wolf on four occasions; ordering the Filet (twice), the Ribeye and the Hamburger. I was impressed with the prompt attention by their hostess & waitresses however, I was more impressed the food. The rolls were warm and arrived to the table with room temperature butter (winner!) Nothing worse than spreading cold butter across dough.. the salad faired well and then it came..the Filet accompanied by the potatoe..oh what joy!! So good was it that I went back again for a second visit. The second Filet invited me back to explore the Ribeye and my fourth vist occuring earlier in my day.... brought on the hamburger.. each of the aforestated meals were delivered in perfection and a gracious thank you for my patronage.. The fried pickles were also an uncommonnly delicious treat. GOTTA try'em. I paid my tab by credit card and tipped heavy due to the affordablity factor....ubelievable meals for pocket change price.. Oh yeah..the decor ....don't forget the decor, as it really drives home the steak house feel. Dark wood, low lighting, and the most intriguing display of yester-year artifacts hanging on the walls. No real secret behind this food treasure... great food + great service + great prices = happy customers. Someone did their homework and got a passing grade!!!
Pros: great food, great price, very affordable
Cons: sometimes I have to eat at home
