I just moved to a new law firm here in Baltimore. I came in to Shear and was met by the office mgr. She shook my hand and introduced herself with a big smile and greeting. I was asked questions about my profession, if I wanted to update my look and what I preferred as well as if I had a backup pair of glasses for reading and sun. She showed me designer frames and imported frames as well as regular frames and always said no if she really did not think they looked god on my face. We even got opinions from the other staff and a couple customers in the room, what fun. The other ladies that worked there I was told had over 10 years experience and were highly trained in this field. The mgr had 30 plus yrs and was licensed as well as the Owner Mr Shear who has over 40 plus years experience and his daughter is the Optometrist on staff there. I must admit I felt very at ease in their office and chose an impor frame by Bellinger. I was asked about options I might need on my lenses to enhance my vision so I decided to get the works. Only have one pair of eyes. I am very pleased with everyone there. I had the pleasure of meeting Mr Shear when I returned in two weeks to pick up my glasses , he brought them to me and fitted them. Very pleasant and spoke to me about his photos he takes on his trips and displays them in his windows and walls. Impressive. Colorful bunch of people and well versed in this field. I am writing this because I was browsing on the web to find a good place to get my eyewear and saw the two bad comments made. It did not deter me from investigating the option of trying out Shear Opticians if that is the purpose. I find as a legal advisor that everyone is entitled to their opinion true, however don't believe everything you read or hear, research it for yourself! I did just that and am glad I did. Good Job Shear Opticians, I will return after January to get my sunglasses as I promised! \r
