Unlike the previous two reviews on here, I had a better experience at the Ottawa Animal Hospital. The staff technician spoke in a calm manner and showed genuine interest in my cat. I also felt the same way with Dr. Soper (spelling?), who took the time to explain my options in regards to cat's condition. She did not mind at all when I asked her to repeat or explain something. I was offered tea/coffee/water a few times during the time I was there (a few hours). The only CON I have is that the price for animal care was a bit high. I'm not sure if it is high compared to other veterinarians or if the costs for animal care seem high to me in general. To be fair, it was a $40 office visit and $50 fee for the Feline Leukemia Virus test. Unfortunately my cat tested positive for the virus and we chose to end its suffering. It was a very TOUGH decision on my family. However, the staff seemed to genuinely care about my pet and my family. I cannot say the same about another Holland animal hospital --> Mapleview Animal Hospital. Dr. Bader seemed completely rushed. He gave my cat an antibiotic shot and didn't even explain what it was for! I had to ask him later. That experience made me look into other vets in the area. I'm glad I found Ottawa Animal Hospital instead.
Pros: Compassionate, knowledgeable and patient staff
Cons: Costs for animal care
