The hotel is new and they're running Internet specials. Great location--adjacent to Monterey Bay acquirium. Can walk to all Cannery Row attractions (if you can call them that). Parking was valet-only. Pool was a lap pool but the kids loved it anyway. Fireplace, cool indoor stairs, right on the waterfront. Good plumbing. Given how absurd hotel prices are in the Monterey Bay area, this was a bargain.
