I had a "free" car rental at a dealership for car repair before Thanksgiving. Before I signed the contract, the guy told me that I would not need their insurance if I had my own coverage. I said I had my own insurance. And he asked me to sign and told me that I would NOT be charged anything except I had car damage, and I also need to make sure the gas level was the same. I thought that was reasonable and signed. Then I found I was charged $11.99 for insurance coverage later. I called and the manager said that there were two kinds of insurance coverage, and I only waivered one of them. I learned a lesson that I should not have trusted the guy who delivered the car without looking at the contract carefully. But I think the guy tricked me by purpose!!!
