I used to be a huge fan of the Citris Grill on 33rd South. The food was great and the service was always friendly, if not perfectly polished. However, over the past year, everything has gone downhill. We've been seated by sullen teenagers who barely say hello, their HVAC is never set to a comfortable level, and they seem to run out of common mixers for cocktails. My biggest concern, and the reason we don't go to Citris anymore, is that the place is filthy. Walls are splattered, floors look dirty and the restroom is so dirty that I'm surprised health inspectors haven't cited them. It used to be such a great neighborhood restaurant. It needs the attention of a good manager to train employees and to ensure appropriate cleanliness and maintenance.
Pros: The food is usually good. The daily specials are unique.
Cons: Dirty walls, floors and restrooms. Sullen service.
