This fabulous ice cream spot closed its doors in Des Plaines because the city cannot seem to do a decent job in creating an appropriate venue for restaurant/entertainment areas. Metropolitan square is costly in rent (I know as I looked into it for my own business) and is relatively isolated from view with poor parking options. There are still several places not filled and businesses have already folded. Fortunately Cold Stone Creamery has another location in Rosemont with a lot more visibility.
