I had several problems with my 2001 chevy silverado killing from time to time. I brought this vehicle to 2 different shops that were highly recommended by close friends of mine. after paying 2 different diagnostic fees and some various parts and labor my truck was back to the same stalling out condition. i searched the internet and found pit stop automotive new orleans auto repair shop. i called and talked to a guy named shawn and he assured me that he would be able to diagnose and fix this electrical / computer problem. shawn spoke with such confidence i was on my way within a matter of minutes. i was impressed when i arrived at the painted floors in the shop area, it seemed as if the place was very tidy and organized. i saw all the certificates showing the certifications that shawn has in computer diagnostic and electrical, so i felt much more relaxed about paying yet another diagnostic fee. the next morning about 10 a.m. Fallon, the young lady in the office called and said my truck was ready. i took a deep breath and said how much?, her answer was 119.95. i was so happy $119.95 that was including the diagnostic she said. after i arrived shawn took me out to my vehicle and showed me a ground wire that was just barely loose enough to shut down the computer system under certain driving conditions he said. here i am several weeks later and my truck operates great! i like to see an owner operated business where the owner is hands on and probably the best in the city. i know from experience! i can't thank you enough!
Pros: clean, honest, owner operated--you actually deal with the owner and his wife!!!!!
Cons: need a pit stop auto repair on the northshore ;( lol
