We dined at Sullivans last weekend for my husband's company dinner. Granted, we were a party of ten, but I still had a certain level of expectations for a restuarant of this caliber. First, we had reservations for 8:30pm but were not sat until after 10pm. Unacceptable. Next, our waitress was worse than a used car salesman. She tried up-selling everything on the menu, absolutely no genuine recommendations. If there was a profit to be made on ice cubes, she would have pushed and sold them by the cube. She pushes the larger bottle of wine (actually a better value), then comes back and tells us she's out of that wine. We end up with twice as many smaller bottles of wine. Then arrive our steaks... mine actually was decent, but half (or five) of us had terrible steaks. Either they were severely undercooked (and no one wanted to send them back because it was now after 11pm and we were all starving), and a few New York Strips looked more like roasts, there was so much fat throughout them. Then there was the fact that there was no one to complain to because our waitress not once asked us how our meal was (we never saw her again once our meals were delivered... until of course she came back to push desserts on us all). Doesn't sound like it can get much worse, right? Icing on the cake... I opened my leftovers box the next day (should have been the other half of my filet and some creamed spinach) but it was someone else's left overs! Unbelievable.
Pros: nice bar area to wait in while you wait almost two hours to be seated
Cons: abrasive server, out of the wine we ordered, steaks fatty and undercooked
