The Green Chai just moved across the street to 811 Main, which is just perfect for watching the shoppers explore the old-time small-town Main St of Bastrop. You can find their courtyard with the flowing fountain situated across from the Wells Fargo. They're now in the historic Union Hall building, and from your courtyard table you can see the banks of the Colorado River peeking out from between the buildings across the street. Easily they have the best food for miles: the quiche, pizzas, paninis, lasagnas, salads taste so fresh and flavorful. The owners and many devoted regulars are also some of the nicest and most interesting people in town.
