Be careful at Lum's and get a dollar quote before doing any work. I took my 02 Kia Sportage there just the other day for a normal service (lube, oil, filter) also ask them to change the fluid in the front axle, transfer case and rear end (all this entails is unscrewing one bolt in each unit and letting it drain while you do something else). I was charged the $30's for the service then charged $140 for changing the fluid in the axles which equated to $120 in labor. They charge $86 an hour labor! most shops are $75 an hour or less. Was the person change oil a certified mechanic? or someone that gets minimum wage.
