In response, as the owner of the Lazy Dog Ranch I feel I should bring some clarity to one of the previous reviews. We have a policy of very frequent ""poo patrol"", this particular dog was a roller he was known for following other dogs and rolling in the waste even as you walked to pick it up. He was also a loose canon in the yard and frequently had to be protected from fights he started. In response to the ""greeting"", he was an arm biter and a clawer and we were working with him to stop that habit as he had bitten through the skin of our staff several times. In hindsite maybe I would have denied him as a guest but he is young and he will be a good playmate with the correct guidance. The diet information is a bit misleading, we have a lot of opportunities to talk to people about the health and weight of their pets. Over the years I have known many a veterinarian and layperson to allow pets to become too heavy. We were following the feeding instructions for these two particular dogs very closely as one was trying to gain weight from an abusive situation, the discussion was just that and the opinions of experienced staff were voiced and unfortunately the conversation should have never taken place with this client. Our care continues to be personal and caring I am sorry there wasn't more of an opportunity to discuss matters with this client.
