There was a time when I thought Gene's Machines was OK. He has not been able to hire any competent help. The last time I took mowers there, they were unable to do anything but change spark plugs and oil. One mower was handed back to me as a box of parts. They were unable to repair the mower but still charged me for the time they spent taking it apart. Sadly, he is running his business into the ground. I doubt if this shop will exist much longer at the rate he is losing customers. For this reason, I will no longer buy any new equipment from Gene's Machines. It seems that this shop can not compete with larger, more competent equipment dealers in the area.
