I'm a frequent traveler and spend more than 75 nights a year in hotels. This Hilton Garden Inn, like most, is about a year old and in excellent condition. Rooms are smaller than some Hiltons' but my 17 year old son and I had plenty of room in their standard 2-queen room over a UNC football weekend in November 2008. The front desk staff was helpful and friendly, as were the restaurant crew. Not as quaint as the Carolina Inn, but rooms were available and I was very pleased with the hotel. The location is certainly convenient with shopping and many restaurants adjacent.
