I had my first tattoo done at a different shop when I was 21 years old. It was not a good experience. The tattoo looked fine, and healed well, but the people at the shop and the artist were rude. The artist seemed to want to get my tattoo done as fast as possible and move on to the next one. He didn't explain anything to me about the process, answer any of my questions, or warn me when he was about to start. My tattoo took a total of 2 hours and he took at least 5 breaks to go smoke during that time. Overall, not good.
