I was recommended to BangZ by someone I trust, as a trendy, professional place where my hair would get optimum service. I went in for my first consultation with Jade, and set up an appointment that week. I got a call two days before my appointment to confirm, and a subsequent call to cancel. I then set up another appointment that week, received a call to confirm, and then to cancel, only the day before my scheduled time. The receptionist told me that Jade would not be in for another week. So I waited, thinking I would get the best personalized service from someone who has been in the business for 12 years. I finally get my appointment, and after reiterating that I do not want streaky highlights, no blonde color, nor any other drastic change, I got blonde and gray, blotchy streaks of lift in my hair. The hightes were removed and the toner was applied by "Jade's assistant," not even Jade herself. She apparently had "another appointment," despite it being a little before 1:00PM and I had been booked until 2:00PM for color. Then, I am asked by the assistant, "You're gonna dry out your own hair right?" WTF? I have NEVER been asked to do that, and for about $200, my stylist should AT LEAST complete her work. Appalled - but calm - I told Jade the color was much lighter than expected, but she kept avoiding me and asking random people to tell me "how nice [my] hair looked." I paid and went home, thinking I would get used to it, but in my lighting at home, it looked TERRIBLE; TOO light, TOO blonde, TOO fried!! I immediately called and asked to come in again, since Jade had assured me, "If you want it darker you can come back and I'll apply a darker toner." She didn't even come to the phone to ask about my situation nor was she "available" until three days after the incident. Needless to say, I will NEVER go back there. The service was humiliating and unprofessional.
