Our newest basset, Penny, had a lump on her back hind-quarter that we were told was probably a fatty cyst. In october, it swelled to the size of a tennis ball. We took her in, and it turns out the lump was a tumor that had gotten infected. The infection healed on its own, and AMC recommended the tumor be removed. The earliest appointment they had was a month out. I scheduled the appointment, and was told to be there around 8, but that I would get a call the day before the surgery to confirm. \r

I never got the call, but went in and was there at 8:45. I was told that for surgery I should have been there at 8, and they wouldn't perform surgery today. \r
