All three vets (Drs Bohn, Simpson and Kurpel) at VCA are wonderful caring doctors who know and love kittens and cats. The hospital is equipped and staffed to take on serious illnesses/ conditions and to perform surgery. Within a week of adopting my kitten Bella, she developed fading kitten syndrome requiring intensive care (special warm room and bedding), round the clock fluids and small hand feedings every two hours for a week. Bella recovered and is now a strong healthy 2-year old, 10+ pounds fluffy diva. I also now have a second cat, Tesse, and both of my "girls" receive all their care and treatment at VCA. Great vet services are not inexpensive, but neither are the costs associated with running a first class cat hospital in a major city. To their credit, VCA recommends that owners consider purchasing pet insurance. They are very good about signing and providing documentation for claim forms.
