Last year, one of my cats became lethargic, his eyes were cloudy, and he began having difficulty walking. I called the Laurelwood Animal Hospital and got an appointment for the next morning. The staff were very friendly and helpful. Dr. Erdman ran a number of tests, including bloodwork, X rays, and eventually a CT scan, and within a week she found a mass in his brain that was pushing on his optic nerve. During this period of diagnosis he had become completely blind. During this process, Dr. Erdman was extremely compassionate. She also gave me all the information I needed, but she never pushed for a particular type of decision. He was given steroids to reduce the swelling. Within two days of taking the steroids, his vision began to return. Within a week, he was back to normal, and he has remained that way for the past year. Dr. Erdman was very caring, prompt, and professional throughout.\r

Recently I took him and my other cat to Dr. Erdman for an annual checkup, and both appear to be generally healthy, although she pointed out some areas where they could use improvement or monitoring. Again, the staff were extremely pleasant and helpful, and Dr. Erdman took the time to give both cats a thorough examination and answer all of my questions. She again suggested several options, but she never pushed for a particular decision. I can not recommend the Laurelwood Animal Hospital and Dr. Erdman highly enough.
