I called Marketplace thinking to get a lush bouquet of gerbera daisies to celebrate the opening of my partner's show; they promised that they'd create a stunning piece, and we agreed on a price, including delivery. What did my $83 buy me? When I saw the flowers a day and a half later, there were 9, repeat, 9 daisies, with some greenery in a simple glass cylider vase, and they had all wilted. First of all, that comes to over $7 per flower, which is an absolute rip-off, and secondly, if they had been top-quality blooms, they wouldn't have wilted so quickly. I emailed them, but my emails were ignored: when I called to request at least a partial refund, it was denied, since ""flowers are perishable"". No kidding: theirs were completely dead within two days. Save your money and a good deal of aggravation, and buy flowers elsewhere!
