I was reluctant to come to STK because I try to stray away from the trendy Hollywood spots, but I was taken here by a friend for a small get-together. My expectations were low and I expected the usual nice decor, but awful food kind of scene here. STK blew me away actually. We came here mid-week and I'm sure it is a little quieter than the weekends, but the vibe here was great. It was a packed house, but not stuffy at all. I had the bone-in ribeye, recommended by my waiter, and my friend had the new york strip. Both cuts of meat were amazing and the sides were just as good. The creamed corn pudding and truffle fries were enough to come back. Overall, the experience was more than I expected and I left the restaurant feeling great.
Pros: steak, decor, ambience
Cons: no street parking, traffic
