I decided to try this restaurant on a Sunday night to see what all the fuss is about. Obviously, about the girls in bikinis. That's where it ends. My boyfriend and I had to wait for five minutes to get seated when the restaurant was almost empty (it was towards the end of the night). The manager told us he is waiting for the hostess to seat us. The hostess was nowhere to be found. Why couldn't the manager seat us? I thought that's part of his job.\r

Since it's Broadway, the 20% gratuity is included so our server could not care less about providing us with at least a minimum of service. Unfriendly and unwelcoming, she looked like she has been partying/drinking/screwing around all night. No bread, no glass of water, no busboys at our table. Across from us was sitting a family with children - they definitely were in the wrong place!\r

I was completely dissatisfied with my Hawaiian Tropic experience. The food is good and the decor is great but the service is extremely bad - will not come back.
Pros: good food, great decor
Cons: horrible service, bad management
