I would never visit Kansas City without at least one trip to El Maguey in Independence. Mi amigo, Manuel, is a fantastic server and one who not only makes one feel at home, but who anticipates your needs/desires before you need/desire them. The friendly staff and the outstanding food make this visit one of the highlights of any trip to the midwest.. The fried Ice Cream as well as perfectly fine frozen or on the rocks margaritas compliment the Fajitas (We call them Botana) for 2 which will feed more than 2 ordinary diners.\r
