We shop Sears on a regular basis. In fact most recently we called for a replacement gas water heater and received full-disclosure, including parts, delivery, installation, tax, and removal. We knew exactly how much?albeit it was our misfortune that Sears couldn't provide a replacement model having a vent-air intake system resembling our old Bradford White model. We noticed a sticker on the old heater?""Save Money call Payless Water Heaters 800-833-LESS"" (The Payless Water Heaters & Plumbing, Inc. owned by David Stone). \r

We called and they certainly had the unit we needed. Including a price that was comparable to Sears?well almost. On the phone ""David"" gave us a price that included ""everything"" including removal roughly similar to Sears at $1250. We called a second time to make certain and again were told the price would include ""everything"". When the installer (gonif) arrived there was the ""everything"" price of $1250 that didn't included additional parts of $150, and $350 more for the labor of those parts. Already $500 more than what was quoted over the phone?AFTER the quote showed a hand written ""Discount <$200>""\r

Back against the wall with wet laundry everywhere?our hardwood floor saturated with water, I couldn't say ""take a walk"" and he knew it. Payless Water Heaters should change their name to Paymore Water Heaters?PAY MUCH MORE! Stinking shyster GONIFS!!
Cons: They ripped us off totally!
