I'm born with curly hair and I used to get my Japanese hair straigthening in Long Island for around $400. It was just too expensive for me to keep up with it so I had to switch to the Queens area since it's cheaper and I could get it done more frequently, like every 4 months. The only consequence that I had to deal with was that my hair was a lot drier and there was more breakage due to the Japanese hair straightening. I was considering to do Brazillian hair straightening since it's really popular right now but it's also really expensive. But about a month ago I found Hair Manna on the web that did Brazillian hair straigthening and I called for a free consultation. Manna, who gave me the consultation, was very thorough and explained everything. She told me that Brazillian hair straightening is all about laminating Keratin to the hair. She explained that I needed to get Japanese hair straightening eveytime my hair grew out if I wanted ot keep it straight and that I should get Brazillian hair straightening on top of that in order to protect my hair from drying out. So I went ahead and got it done. The Japanese hair straightening was only $150 and the Brazillian was only $90, which is the special promotion price. I'm so glad that I got both done together because I really felt the difference in my hair. The Brazillian keratin actually made my hair so much stronger than when I had Japanese hair straighening alone. I can relate to people who experience problems or dryness when they get Japanese hair straightening. I really suggest getting the keratin coating to your hair because it makes such a big difference. I also got free a hair treatment certificate from Hair Manna that I can use the next time I get a cut and wash, which I thought was very generous of her. I highly recommend this place.
