Having never been through the process of buying a car, the mere thought of it made me miserable just from all of the horror stories I have heard. Thank God I ended up down at Ayer Auto on Maple Avenue in Barre. The owner, David, was the perfect person to walk any first time car buyer through the process. He had a car that I was interested in but I didn't think I could afford it. I was upfront with him, and rather than just move on to the next customer he helped me get the car. He gave me advice on how to get a loan at the best rate possible, and he lowered the price to a point that I could reach. It was amazing! I do have to mention that at the beginning of the entire process he taught me what to look for when buying a car. I didn't know that there are so many details on the car that can attribute to past, present, and future problems. He showed me where to look and explained everything. He encouraged me to take my time and look around. It was also interesting how he displayed guidance, concern, and heart of a father. (He has pictures of his family in his office, so it's obvious that he treats others as he would want his family to be treated.) It was almost as if I was working through a problem with my dad by my side. I appreciate that. It is nice to know that there are honest, genuine, caring business people out there. I will most certainly be returning to Ayer Auto with any future needs and encourage everyone out there to go check it out. You will leave just as happy as I did, I am sure of it! :)
Pros: Caring, expediant, friendly service
Cons: There needs to be more business people out there like Mr. Ayer!
