Purchased a Ryobi blower vac from Home Depot 7/26/08 never ran correct- called manufacturer- they referred me to Heretick for warranty repairs- dropped off the blower10-14-08 to a lady behind the counter required a $10 deposit in case they find it was not a warranty problem-never heard anything- called11-03-08 spoke w/ Kurt- asked me if I had used the blower for vacuuming- told him no- that is why I wanted to get it back- his comment-""this is not a very good blower- I wouldn't recommend vacuuming with it because if you get the fan offset it won't run right!"" I told him the only thing it had been used for was blowing- he said a screw that holds the engine on is loose and that is what he usualy sees happen when someone uses the blower to vacuum- also said the carborator needed a half turn adjustment- said it would be a charge- told him that it was a warranty claim he again said the carborator is not covered- told him it is- said he would have to check with his boss- not in that day would be in the next day- to see if anything could be done, but didn't think anything would be done regarding the charge- his boss is his brother- we finished our conversation and I called Ryobi back- they in turn called them and reaffirmed the carborator was a warranty claim- I went the next day to pick up the blower- behind the counter was the same lady and a gentleman by the name on his shirt Big Ed- I told them I was there to pick up my blower and that Ryobi had called and said the repairs were warranty items- Big Ed said that is at our discression! He went to get Kurt- he came back with my blower and proceeded to show me how to start the blower- he said there is no charge- I asked about my $10 deposit he said no that was a diagnostic charge- I told him NO that this was a warranty claim- he finally told the lady behind the counter to refund my money- the blower was greesy and dirty- his response we are a small engine shop\r
