When I had my appointment at Pink I felt like I had finally found the right hair salon. Tisa took her time with my appointment and gave me great info on how to deal with my hair. She also talked with me about how to get my hair where I want it. She suggested treatments and products without being pushy, and, she was funny and chatty without making me feel pressured to make awkward small talk! \r
All of the other staff I encountered were also very sweet and down to earth- no pretentious nonsense, no fake friendliness. Oh, and cool outsider art all over the place! Plenty to look at while you're getting your hair cut. \r
To me the only negative aspect of Pink is the price- high. BUT, I did get a long and thorough appointment for my money, and, I don't get my hair cut often, so that is something to consider. Oh, and the building really could use some new interior paint... I'm all for boho South Austin, but a few touch-ups would enhance the place.
