My daughter had to attend 6th grade starting at this school. This school is a containment ward for bad kids and low accredited scores. My daughter came from an honors program, IB Honors and because of the overpopulated student ratio at Sun Valley, she was placed into this school. This school's learning process and teaching methods are way behind the state, and that is because they have a lower curriculm to compromise for all the Latinos they have overpopulating this school. I have been to too many teacher conferences and teacher meetings because of homework and the work itself. The teachers at that school are not all accredited with a bachelors or higher. So trying to talk sensible with half of the teachers is impossible. Boy I do not know where to begin on the principal. He is never around and in my childs first quarter of school they had over 25 Expulsions and she saw 6 fights just in the first quarter. And the sad part is that there is no Avenue out of this for her to attend the good schools unless u get picked in a yearly lottery for any of the surrounding Academies. I hope that this is helpful to someone in need aor moving to the area.
