My husband & I ate at the Coyote Canyon on 7200 Bandera Rd. When we arrived at 6:15 p.m. we commented how the restaurant was practically empty. We got our salads & the chopped eggs were like rubber. The couple at the table in front of us were getting their money back from the manager. After getting our food we knew why. The food was AWFUL! Everything was watered down & over cooked with absolutely no flavor. The cabbage was like mush, the corn was dry & hard. The fried chicken was non-edible it was so dry that you couldn't even bite it off the bone. The catfish was cold. The green beans in the casserole were soggy. The brisket was tough & dry. The macaroni and cheese was bland. I am from the east coast so I tried the clam chowder. Now I knew it was probably going to be from a can but it was the cheapest, low budget choice they could find. As a matter of fact most of the food was 2nd rate. Their were two men sitting in front of us & they commented as they left, the food was terrible & they wouldn't be back. There were two other tables besides us that filled out negative comment slips. When we took ours to the manager I commented that they need a new cook & I'd be happy to give him some pointers. He said ""Oh no, our food is good & we do a good job."" I'm sure he probably ignored all of our comments & threw them away. If there is a corporate office we will be contacting them. We also learned from one of the other guests that their other store on Marbach Rd had just received 28 demirates for uncleanliness, poor quality of food, rodent evidence etc. We went there because we are looking for a banquet room for a large future party. Needless to say this place will not be it. They wasted a lot of food because a lot of food is left on the guests plate to be thrown out. We left a tip for the waitress because she was great (and so was her twin sister) but you could tell that they were embarrassed because of the food so they didn't get many tips.
Pros: Great waitress service
Cons: poor quality of food
