I don't like to say negative things, but my experience at El Toro Taco was anything but positive. I can't review the food, because no one ever took our order. My wife and I drove to Homestead just to try Toro Taco, based on the reviews we read here in Urbanspoon. The restaurant seemed very busy, however, we quickly noticed that no one else had any food at all on the table... or water. We were seated quickly, and I anticipated a nice dinner, so I photographed the menu. As you can see, I had plenty of time to photograph the whole menu. No one ever came over to welcome us, to offer water or chips, or to even let us know things were running slowly. We were there for 20 minutes, then I excused myself to use the bathroom. Suffice to say, my stomach was turned by the time I got back to the table... and this health hazard was right next to the kitchen (and had to share plumbing). Even still, no service to us or many tables near us. I asked an older manager-looking staff member for some water, and he wandered over to another part of the restaurant and started having a conversation with someone else. No water. After another 5 minutes, we left and went to a delightful restaurant called Casita Tejas a block or so away. Then we had a wonderful meal in a nice, clean, and friendly restaurant which El Toro Taco seemed to be none of.
