As a complete yoga beginner, the FUNdamentals class at Blue Sky was my first structured exposure to yoga. It's been a great class and I've made it a part of my weekly routine. The studio provides all required materials (mats, blocks, bolsters, straps etc.) which makes it that much more approachable for a beginner. Of course, you're welcome to bring your own mat if you prefer, but as a novice to any new activity, the initial investment in new equipment can be very daunting. Blue Sky keeps that fear to an absolute minimum. All I had to purchase was a new pair of stretchy pants. Plus, the FUNdamentals class is only $8 a session. Very affordable.\r

Syvlia, the instructor, is patient, aware and genuinely interested in the students' progress. I have very limited comparison to other instructors, but I can't imagine a better instructor for a beginners' class. While I'm not anywhere close to jumping up to a more advanced class any time soon, I feel confident I'm learning the proper fundamentals that will serve me well once I am balancing on my hands with my feet behind my ears.
