It was the year of 1981 that I had a child out of wedlock with a man whom was a Jehovah Witness of this congregation and his name was Richard Kirk. Born to the mother Linda Kirk-Thampson and Step-Father Dennis Thompson as well. I as a single mother raised the child born Amber Kirk without any assistance from her father Richard till the age of 13 years old. In 1994, Richard died of complications from his youth, that worsened into his adulthood. His mother Linda, requested that I send my daughter Amber to them for a visit as the mourned his death and I did. Well they decided to keep my child from me in oreder to receive a life insurance policy of $32,000 dollars. They also had me paying them $1865.00 monthly for child support and received additional social security payments as well. My daughter them became brain washed by their religous beliefs and shunned herself from me. My visitations were not complied to, and I seen her only 2 times in the 5 years till she reached the age of 18 yrs. old. Needless to say, these grandparents never put monies away for my daughters future education and the monies totaling well over 100,000.00 dollars was spent on themselves and not my daughter to represent a socialistic presence in the congregation and community. The $32,000 dollar insurance policy released to me was used to pay for attorneys in attempt to regain custody of my daughter. Now, I come to find out 15 years later since the money I paid to these grandparents has ran out and the well is dryed up! They have since filed a judgement against me for the Life Insurance policy totaling $40,000 with interest. In closing, would be I would not recommend this congregation for attendance if its teaching are to be greedy and selfish against members of your family whom are not of the same religious beliefs and tear family members apart for personal gain and greed! It shpould be noted that Dennis Thompson was at this time a respected elder of this congregation. Is it over yet?
Pros: These grandparents are great if you need help getting custody of children
Cons: Hopefully Dennis is not still an elder preaching the word of Jehovah
