Don't expect to be dazzled by the decor - just expect some honest-to-goodness southern Louisiana home cooking. It's cafeteria style with several daily plate lunch specials offered on a rotating basis throughout the week. My personal favorite is the chicken fricasse which is only available on Wednesdays. I also love the chicken and sausage jambalaya, the red beans and rice (daily), the gumbos (daily), and the cornbread. Very generous portions for a modest price makes this place very hard to beat!
