Best Chinese in the northern half of Michigan 10/6/2008

I had my first encounter with this wonderful little place when I was about 8 years old, since then I have been well traveled and yet whenever I come back to Gladwin I make a point of visiting Chee Pang. The food is absolutly outstanding! Over the years I have had the oppritunity to enjoy many of the dishes they have to offer and I have yet to find an entree that I did not completely enjoy. This is the chinese restaurant I measure all others against, and I have never found a place that compairs. The egg drop soup, sweet and sour soup, egg rolls, sweet and sour chicken, almond chicken, beef egg foo young, and the many others are by all means, in my opinion, out of this world. the atmosphere is nice, usually with traditional oriental music playing overhead, although, there have been times when there is a modern hits station playing, either way still enjoyable. The decor is inviting; with orientel paintings on the walls along with red fans and wonderful little details. The service is very good with a mix of old and young servers, which at one point, I belive were all members of the family that owned the restaurant. In any case, this establishment will continue to be close to my heart and whenever possible filling my stomach. Pros: food quality, price, atomoshere, service Cons: limited space more
