I have been going to Kouri's Pub a couple of times a week for years. They just moved a block up the street and the move seemed stressfull for all. Thanks to the staff, they have kept their regulars and brought in new patrons. They now have 18 new high-def bigscreen tv's and redid the place nicely. A little more work and they should be finished. The food is good and the service is excellent. They treat everyone like family. I agree with kourisgirl thoughts on Jay. I've never known Kevin to intentionally ignore someone wether they tip or not. And I've never heard him brag about his ""fighting skills"". If someone asks he answers honestly. Usually he tries not to have it talked about. He has always been very friendly and tries to make time for each person. He either knows you by name or what you drink and has always said hello and goodbye to all and most importantly...he says Thank You. Jay, if you felt ignored it was because other patrons were trying to talk to him. Or maybe you were being an a** and he had to ask you to leave. As in most places you always get someone that gets out of line and he has always taken care of it quickly and profesionally and as far as I have seen with none of his ""fighting stuff"" you talked about. That's one of the reasons I feel I can take my family there and feel safe. As for hitting on the ladies, well his daughter works there and I am sure she and his wife would strongly disagree. Yeah, the ladies must like his belly....lol. All in all, if your looking for good food a friendly atmosphere and place where you can enjoy yourself.....Try Kouri's. And make sure Kevin is there and you will enjoy it more!
Pros: The staff, the TV's, food, oh yeah and Kevin
Cons: They are supposed to have the new beer garden done and they need to get rid of the square bar
