I am the owner of Autotech. I don't see any relevant information about this claim ? we at Autotech follow the CA rules and regulation by giving the customer upfront estimate,if customer agree and authorized there should be no complains. I am ASE master technician and factory trained and certified and did the diagnose on this VW. I found powertrain management codes relating to lean misfire and adaption value over limit, the oxygen sensor which is a very expensive part original VW at $198.75,bad idling code, which would require some work replacing intake gasket and some leak repair at air intake, breather hose and vacuum line.reprogram the car PCM and re-set all adaptation value for better performance with better gas miles so it will not pollute the environment, the total estimate would be $500.00 customer claimed he did some research online the previous day, and saw that he can get an oxygen sensor not original factory by VW for $40
